Mixcloud Fused 160715Friday’s show heard a selection of tracks from Joy Division, all from their 1979 debut album ‘Unknown Pleasures’ to commemorate the birthday in 1956 of Ian Curtis. We played ‘She’s Lost Control‘, ‘New Dawn Fades‘, ‘Interzone‘ and ‘Shadowplay‘.

We also played a handful of truly independent artists, as we generally do. This week it was the turn of Microchip Junky, The Black HundredMental Escape PodBrutalist Architecture in the Sun and Deadlights, a track from the previous week’s release ‘We Can Go Down, But We’ll Take A World With Us (Four Evenings In The Führerbunker)‘, all well worth a listen in their own right.

As regular listeners and followers of this blog will know we share Friday nights with §Wired§, hosted by Keith Whitham, and we occasionally leap-frog editions if one or other of us have other commitments. As such Fused will be back next Friday (22nd July) as Keith has two rather special shows coming up the following two weeks (29th July & 5th August – after which Fused will be back on the 12th August). I’m sure Keith will reveal more on the §Wired§ Facebook Page as and when…
