{"id":107,"date":"2016-04-30T12:00:18","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T12:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fused.thenovalounge.com\/valve\/?p=107"},"modified":"2016-04-30T12:00:18","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T12:00:18","slug":"tfwp-tx-29th-april-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fused.thenovalounge.com\/valve\/tx-notes\/tfwp-tx-29th-april-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"TFWP Tx 29th April 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-109 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/fused.thenovalounge.com\/valve\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/f996-b376-49bd-9f41-f4cd075baa38-200x200.jpg\" alt=\"Tx 160429\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/>Our second outing with <strong>Fused<\/strong> on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globegigradio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Globegig Radio<\/a> went very well, though still getting familiar with the software\/hardware interface, schoolboy errors in evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas last time we nipped back to 1948 for an early example of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Musique_concr%C3%A8te\" target=\"_blank\">Musique concr\u00e8te<\/a>, this time we featured the work of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Delia_Derbyshire\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Delia Derbyshire<\/em><\/a>, particularly that which she produced during her time with the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BBC_Radiophonic_Workshop\" target=\"_blank\">BBC Radiophonic Workshop<\/a> in Maida Vale, London during the 60s &amp; 70s. Kicking off with the original &#8216;<em>Dr Who<\/em>&#8216; theme (written by Ron Grainer and realised by Delia in 1963), we played two further pieces; &#8216;<em>Voice of John Peel<\/em>&#8216; and &#8216;<em>Running<\/em>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to closing the show with &#8216;<em>Fireball<\/em>&#8216; by Don Spencer (by way of homage to the legendary <a href=\"http:\/\/www.the007.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">007 Club<\/a>), we also play a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laibach.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Laibach<\/a> track in each show, and last nights was their cover of the Status Quo number &#8216;<em>In the Army Now<\/em>&#8216;, although some in the chat-room thought we were going to play the original, much relief all round when the opening strains broke out.<\/p>\n<p>You can listen again to this show <a href=\"http:\/\/fused.thenovalounge.com\/valve\/tx-archive\/tx-29th-april-2016\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our second outing with Fused on Globegig Radio went very well, though still getting familiar with the software\/hardware interface, schoolboy errors in evidence.
